Below is some information about me!

 

My experience spans from both theoretical knowledge to practical experience. Educationally, I have achieved a Level 3 Extended National Diploma in Animal Management with Science, a Bachelor of Science degree in Animal Behaviour (Hons) and am currently undertaking a Master of Arts in Anthrozoology. These courses have allowed me to study modules like; Animal Learning and Training, Animal Health and Disease, Animal Welfare and Ethics and Animal Nutrition.

Alongside this, I have independently undertaken several certifications including;

• Pet First Aid for Pet Professionals Level 3 (VTQ) (ProTrainings)

• Canine First Aid (The Paw-Works)

• Dog Choking First Aid (First Aid for Pets)

• Rabbit Care, Behaviour and Welfare Diploma (Centre of Excellence)

• Dog Grooming Diploma (Centre of Excellence)

• Introduction to Dog Walking (ISCP The International School of Canine Psychology)

My practical experience ranges from both paid and unpaid positions, along with day-to-day life experience having been surrounded by multiple companion species within my home environments! I have cared for several species whilst growing up including; Dogs, Cats, Fish, Guinea Pigs, Hamsters, Gerbils, Rats, Sugar Gliders, a Bearded Dragon and a Corn Snake. I really aim to treat your pets as if they were my own, no matter the species!

 

My paid experience includes having worked in a Kennels and Cattery for over 4 years, along with freelance Pet Sitting through different apps, and having a continued part-time role within a Pet Groomers. Voluntary experience includes acting as Training Support within group behaviour class environments, and further Cattery involvement within a Rehoming Centre. Whilst in education I undertook many practical care elements within a Zoological Centre, including interactions with farm, domestic and exotic species.

I have a Full UK Drivers Licence, and am Disclosure & Barring Service checked and cleared. I am a member of the Association of Professional Dog Walkers & Sitters who aim to promote an industry standard in seeking best practice within the profession.
